I wish I had gotten one of these a long time ago. I have only used it for slicing bread so far, but am looking forward to slicing beef for bulgogi and other meats for sandwiches. I now only buy unsliced bread and slice it as we need it. I love the dial for changing the thickness and cleaning it has not been an issue yet. Very happy with this purchase.


OK for light duty but throw a roast on there and it gets a work out as well as you do. Does clean up very well and slices veggies great! Maybe I'll splurge and get the other blade. Pit Beef was a hassle. Meat kept going under blade and not cutting. Haven't even tried cheese yet.


Good product but little slow. Don't think that you will have the same speed they have at the deli, bu it does the job and this is what counts.


We make bread in a bread making machine and really hated the poor job we did trying to slice properly with hand or electric knives so that is the primary purpose we bought the machine.
The control is easily adjustable and the bread slices very well, the only drawback is that as the cut is finished, the edge of the bread can get snagged by the cutter and caught, forcing you to apply a little pressure on the bread to get it to release, if the bread is still warm care has to be taken not to rip the bread as you finish.
There is quite a bit of clean up even with a tray as the crumbs tend to scatter, have a good work area to make it easy to clean up.


After reading the reviews here on Amazon.com, I decided to purchase this unit. I had seen it slightly cheaper somewhere else, but thought I'd go with amazon. I was all ready to purchase another unit, but nearly every reviewer complained about the time it took to clean. This slicer cleans relatively quickly, without too many tiny nooks and crannies to get juices and meat parts jammed in.

The motor was a little slower than I had expected, but maybe that's because the only other slicer I had ever operated was in a deli in NYC and that was obviously a professional unit.

There's a little flex in the support plate, so if you push a little too hard, the food you're slicing may suddenly come out slightly thicker for that slice or two until you realize what's happening.

I purchased this slicer to make it easier for my wife to make her fantastic cole slaw. Consistently thin slices of cabbage are dang near impossible with a knife. This slicer does it very well.

I would highly recommend this Chef's Choice slicer.


My husband loves this slicer, easy to slice and easy clean up, except to you have to unscrew the blade to clean it..but easy to do..

I have used this Food Slicer for over a month now, and I am very impressed with it. The only slicer that I have ever been around that was better than this was a commercial slicer that cost over $500.00. I have cut pickles (across and lengthwise), tomatoes, salami, oranges, and even bread. I used a variety of thickness and of course, found that some items don't do well when you slice them to thin. This is definitely an item that will stay with us for a long time.


Being a big sandwich eater, I decided it was time to start saving money on cold cuts, not to mention getting all the preservatives out of my diet.
After a lot of checking around, I bought the 610 slicer. Right out of the box, it did the job perfectly.


excellent for small job if you like to buy big pieces of hams and turkey ham.


I am very pleased and somewhat surprised by how well the Chef's Choice 610 Premium Electric Food Slicer performs. It is a great product for home use. One of the best things about this food slicer is how easily it comes apart for cleaning after use.
